Why we're boycotting

Why the community is speaking out.

These are the concerns driving the boycott, each linked to its evidence. Some are confirmed, some are allegations. We label which is which.

Reported20–22 Oct 2026

A founder's repost. A 95% crash. No explanation.

On 22 October a token promoted by Pump.fun's newly signed partner Kimchi, and reposted by co-founder Alon, reached about $15M in minutes. Both posts were removed and it fell more than 95%. Whether the account was hacked or the launch was planned is unproven, and no statement has been made.

ReportedOct 2026

When a call is already a sell.

Analysts linked five wallets to one KOL that bought about 20 seconds before most of his calls and sold minutes later. It is one case, but it shows why followers stopped trusting calls.

“Reported” means covered by several outlets but not independently verified. “Allegation” means unproven. Research as of 24 October 2026. This movement represents community concerns and a demand for change. It is not affiliated with Pump.fun or Robinhood.

Our demands

What needs to change?

Six changes that would answer these concerns. Each is something a platform can do.

  1. 1

    Disclose every paid partnership.

Publish the terms, including token amounts, of deals with KOLs, ambassadors and creative partners.

  2. 2

Answer for incidents within 48 hours.

When a platform-promoted launch collapses, publish what happened and whether buyers will be made whole.

  3. 3

    Show insider supply at launch.

Flag dev and bundled buys in the launch block on every coin page.

  4. 4

    Reward building, not launching.

Tie creator fees to time and holders, not first-hour volume.

  5. 5

    Label sponsored promotion.

Mark paid placements and partner launches across the app and official accounts.

  6. 6

Harden launches and publish the data.

Stronger protection against snipers and bundles, plus regular public data on coin survival and trader outcomes.

The alternative

If nothing changes, we move.

One week away from Pump.fun. A signal the community can no longer be ignored.

Animation: a pill icon moves away toward a green chain symbol.

For the boycott week, the movement encourages supporters to explore Robinhood Chain — an Ethereum Layer 2 network from Robinhood — as an alternative place to spend their time and attention.

Joining the movement does not require trading anything. Blockchain products and platforms, including Robinhood Chain, carry real risks — including loss of funds. Do your own research. Nothing here is financial advice.
